How many of you change your deodorant as often as you change your socks? That used to be me until I found quite possibly the best deodorant ever. This is not an ad, its just me sharing knowledge, wisdom and helping you to find the answer to smelling and feeling fresh all day long.
So I am a subscriber of GQ magazine and as I say all over the place here, I am also addicted to Instagram. It was here that I first came across AKT London and to be honest I was dubious at first. I didn’t really buy their claims and I did ponder whether the reviews were real or not. But it was the scents that kept me going back to look again and again. I am obsessed with scents and with ingredients like cedar, eucalyptus and bitter orange as well as petitgrain mandarin and neroli I just kept thinking that using this stuff, I would smell amazing. But would it actually work or was this all marketing bollocks?
I caved and decided on buying two tubes – orange grove and after thunder – as that would take me over the minimum spend threshold to get free shipping and that was it. The names were partially cool and partially a bit wanky making me think that these products would never work. But card accepted, they had my money and I just had to wait on my goodies arriving. While waiting on my delivery I contemplated whether I had made a good decision or whether I should have just stuck to using whatever I find on offer in the supermarket.
So what are my thoughts having used this deodorant?
A couple of days later a nice box arrived and inside was my purchase. It was halfway through the workday – albeit working from home – so I left it until the next day to give the deodorant a try, although I did open the packs and check out the scents. They smell so good.
I have now been using AKT London for a couple of months now and I have to say that they are amazing. I worried that applying a deodorant balm/ cream would leave residue and feel sticky or gloopy but I couldn’t have been further from the truth. They are absorbed just as quickly as applied and they smell so good. They also seem to last all day and I never seem to feel sweaty or moist at all like I did after a crazy busy day using other deodorants. and believe me, most of my days are pretty crazy juggling work, study and parenting a very active two-year-old.
Best of all, this stuff makes you smell fantastic whilst also being plastic free, aluminium free and cruelty free, it is good for you and the planet and is 100% recyclable so you can walk around smelling amazing as well as feeling amazing that you are doing your bit for the planet.
